GOSHEN  The Elkhart County Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate a traffic accident north of Goshen that resulted in two deaths Thursday.
Michael Yeshe, 46, of Goshen, and Rosa Maria Rodriguez-Jaimez, 25, of Goshen, were killed in the crash at 4:50 a.m. on S.R. 15, south of C.R. 126, reported Patrolman Kevin Miller of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
Police said Yeshe was southbound in a 1995 Ford Mustang and was traveling at an unsafe speed, considering the wet weather and road conditions. The car crossed the center line for an unknown reason and crashed into a northbound 2004 Chevrolet Aveo driven by Rodriguez. Both drivers suffered chest and head injuries.
The Aveo went off the east side of the road and came to rest in a ditch. The Mustang came to rest on S.R. 15 and two more vehicles struck the car before it was knocked off the road into a ditch on the west side. A third vehicle then struck one of the vehicles involved in the second crash.
All three of the vehicles involved in the subsequent crashes were southbound, and none of those drivers were hurt.
