As September 11, 2007 Approaches , I have been recalling what I was doing on September 11, 2001.
I remember that I went to work as normal, taking the PATH train and passing through WTC Tower at around 7:15 A.M. The odd thing is that I went to work early that day (for reasons that I no longer recall), and NORMALLY I would have been there around 8:40 A.M.
At around 8:40 A.M. we began to see paper blowing by our windows on Water street (about 10 blocks from the WTC). We thought it was a ticker tape parade. As we approached the window, we heard a woman screaming that CNN had just announced that an airplane had crashed into WTC Tower #1.
As we sat there watching the tower burn, We saw the second plane come up the river, turn left into the city, and crash into tower #2 Not much later, the Twin Towers were gone forever.
It took me over 16 hours to get out of NYC that day, and I did not arrive home until around 2:00 AM on September 12, 2001.
I have begun to create a Memorial for that day in one of my folders, and you can feel free to drop by if you would like.
My question is:
Is there anyone else that was there in NYC on that day (or perhaps lost someone in NYC that day) that is willing to relate their stories or their feelings?
OR
Is there anyone else that Watched the events of that day on TV that is willing to relate their stories or their feelings?
