has posted a blog posting entitled,
anti-spam stuff wherein he is feeling justfied for his (and, perhaps, other powers that be) actions.
My response:
The theory is good.... but, the practicality is all wrong. It is penalizing the good-hearted ambassadors such as myself.
I have enjoyed this site very much -- but, when I get on the "spam list" after I just post 3 separate comments on 3 separate newbie profiles, you have to understand what has sent my head spinning in disbelief.
I am a paying member because I believe in this site. Just sit back a moment and see if the spam blocker thing can be rethought a bit. Perhaps you have it on high protection, I am not sure; just thinking out loud.
Please, oh, please rethink what you are doing and you will see what has sent sooooo many of spinning. You are penalizing the innocents as well in your efforts to penalize those that truly blatantly spam.
Just please give it some thought and re-thought is all that I am asking....

QUESTION -- What do you think????
UPDATE: It wasn't too long after I had posted my comment to his blog posting that I did ACTUALLY get an IM from him :) and we tested through a few things. One thing that does work, if you are to post some common comment graphic to several peoples sites is to put something like,
"Hey, Bob:"
in front of your comment graphic to make it unique. The caveat to that would be that you might not be able to repeat the same comment graphic each day or week....so, that should keep the demand on those designing the comment graphics busy, huh!!!?????
