(How To) Fubar's Golden Rules™ |
---|
There are alot of different factors when it comes to the General Rules of Fubar, but it seems not alot of them are of Public Knowledge or are not typically located anywhere on the site. This blog will try and put some of this knowledge out for everyone to view so they can at least have some light shed on them and they'll also learn abut the potential Dangers they face should they break the rules set forth. This blog will explain the following Rules: Introduction Every society has a set of rules they have to adhere to or they face a certain type of punishment. These rules can differ depending on where you are located on the site and what is going on at the time of the incident. Each member of Fubar is advised to what they can and cannot due based upon what is stated in the Terms Of Service (TOS for short). These terms are located at the bottom of every Fubar webpage or they are given by link by a particular staff member of the Fubar Community. Login Information On every site there is generally a Login Area (or a Sign-Up Area) that a person must use to gain access to the websites more privatized data. When creating these accounts it is you The User who generally does the Sign-Up Process (exceptions are generally when a young person is creating an account for an older person generally their grand-parents or non-tech savey parents). Once the account is created though that account now becomes the sole possession of the member who will be behind it and the only one who should access it is the said person. DO NOT GIVE ANYONE ACESSS TO YOUR ACCOUNT! This means DO NOT give anyone one your login info, password, etc. If you do, you are asking for trouble. DO NOT GIVE ANYONE YOUR PASSWORD OR LOG IN! You are the ONLY one that should access your account. This is in Fubar's Terms Of Service and is for your benefit. If you allow access to your account you open yourself to the following Dangers: - Account Loss We as Fubar Bouncers hear and see many different stories that you The Member give us. Each member has a different excuse on why they let others access their account (some of what is stated will be below). That member you were fuengaged to who bombed for you while you were at work. If they have a boyfriend or girlfriend (other than yourself) they may have your profile up after a long night giving their significant other access to the account. This may make them become jealous because your prettier than that person is and can cause a war to stir. Once this war has began it may lead to the afformentioned dangers listed above. You decided you want to make a few extra points and let some fu-cheater log into your account to work whatever magic they are selling. They log in and lock you out and change all your profile information. They use up all your Special Ability blings then start opening your personal photos that you were selling more public than it should be or they use your personal photos to create false accounts. Usually you'll come crying (on a new account) stating you were hacked. But remember this section when it comes to it there is a difference. You innocently give some member your login because they state they are gonna spruce up your profile. But when they get access they become not as nice as you thought, and they lock you out then begins to use your profile to pimp their friends. You then mistakenly have your paypal account hidden on your profile (all be it in your photos area as a screenshot)and they start buying up bling and gifting babyjesus fuponies. Again you come crying to support claiming you were hacked by someone you thought ypu could trust. Luckily babyj is NOT stupid. He knows fuponies don't grow on trees. There are many other excuses that are given but the Golden Rule is as follows: Don't Give Out Your Personal Information Buisness Information This section is mentioned in the Terms Of Service which states the following
What this basically means is unless you have permission by Fubar Admin no one is allowed to sell anything on Fubar.com. Don't get anything mixed up with dealing of a fubar nature (ie. auctions, member ran sanctions or the like). This refers to Real Cash situations (ie. Paypal Donations, CSS Coding For Hire etc...) that involves both parties agreeing to a copius amount of payment to render services pertaining to what they two parties are talking about. However this section does not include fuPal Transactions, Bling Credit Transactions or anything that deals with fuBucks. This portion is solely up to both parties on what type of payment can be perceived. Most of this refers to what was mentioned above (that being Auctions, Member Ran Sanctions or anything related to the matter). If you do not wish to pay any member that will be solely the pertaining members decision. The only thing we ask is Please Do Not Come Crying to Admin or Bouncers about how a member didn't want to pay up their dividend. We will give you the phrase we always give (that being to read the ,Terms Of Service and to block the member, but never trust them in future Auctions or Contest). If you have any questions about this section Please Feel Free To Private Message A Fubar Bouncer And They'll Help You To The Best Of Their Abilities. Posting Things On Fubar We all like to post different things Online (whether it be Photos, Blogs, Personal Information etc...) so we can share it with friends or family. This portion of the blog will discuss two of the major things we as Fubar Bouncers deal with on a daily basis. The two areas that will be discussed will be: Posting Photos Most of us like to take photos (whether it be a Regular Photo or a Selfie) and we like to post them to our various website (either by Page Upload or by Mobile Upload). Each photo that is captured with a camera is given a Date or Timestamp anything else has to be placed by the member. Generally meaning if you want a Copyright or Watermark on any of your photos they have to be placed there by you. Once you post a photo on a website (whether it be Fubar, Facebook or Twitter) then that photo will generally fall under that websites Terms Of Service (if they have anything in place). If you happen to come across an image that looks like you or has been uploaded by you then the best place to start is that websites Terms Of Service page or by messaging their Support Profile (or in Fubar's case go into the Support Lounge first). The main problem we run into is the fact that the images are not Copyrighted so we as Support Staff can't really do anything but tell you to read the section in the Fubar Bible that is based on Fubar's Digital Millinnium Copyright Act or DMCA for short. For a full view of the Wikipedia section that gives information about a Copyrighted Image click this link (Digital Millinnium Copyright Act). The second problem we have is members who like to Share Their Photos with other members. When a member uploads their photos they are given the ability to share those images with other members on their Friends List or their Family List. There is also outsourced links that share that photo on other websites (like Facebook and Twitter). This also leads to members saving the image by Right Clicking on their mouse and then uploading the image to their photos leading to the problem that was spoken of above. Any further questions you may have about any photo can be directed to a Fubar Bouncer or by asking a question in the Fubar Support Lounge. Posting Personal Information Every person who has an online account (whether it be with Fubar or any other Online Website) we post information that is shared with other members on that particular website (or on some websites they share it with other websites). This information is known primarily as Personal Information and there are different types of information a member can share. Some of the information we share is:
Each of the information listed above has different meanings and can be attributed by what is given. The problem with some of the information we give is the different attributes we mix together (examples of this would be talking to someone about information about a Family Member but mixing in some information that Family Member may not want to share with others). We all have the capacity to trust each other, but sometimes this trust can be misused and this in turn can lead to trouble in Real Life Situations or within the Online Community your associated with. The biggest thing anyone can do to avoid a bad situation is keep any information you don't want others to know to yourself or if someone tries to bring up information that should be kept Private or Sensitive tell that person can you change the subject or talk about something else.. We as a society have to choose what people should and should not know therefore choose what information you want to share with other members and be safe... If you ever have any questions about the subject Personal Information and the risk that are associated with it In Conclusion, many of the things we do on fubar is noticed (whether it be a Regular Member, a Fubar Bouncer or even Fubar Admin). Each website has their own Rules & Regulations that each member must abide by or risk losing their profile. Keep in mind though each member has a different view of what they think they can and can not do, but each website (whether it be Fubar, Facebook or Twitter) shares many of the common rules that are afformentioned on each of the websites Terms Of Service Agreements.
