Recently i went and filed my taxes. as per every year claim my children.
ok well this year. A person I know conned my daughter to tell them her SS#. with out telling me or asking me. they had already filed and used my daughters number and claimed her as their dependant. So the other night i recieved a call from the IRS audtit deparatment. informing my daughter had already been claimed. I had to then go to local office and show proof of being her mother and all legal documents of guardianship . ok now I have two choices only one to make. the person faces not only fines and penalties from federal state and local but very real possiblity of 3 to 10 years in prison for tx fraud and tax evasion charges .. or i could drop my claim to my daughter and take it to court and sue... for all money and resitution for time and trouble i have incurred ..
so help me out do i handle this matter myself and sue in court or should I let the governments handle it and go visit them in prison? |
