Lost And Found
I saw an Angel
in a crowded room one day
and I was never the same,
she took what was once a dead heart
brought it back to life, and I didn't
even know her name.
Heaven lost an Angel that day
and I'm glad I was around
you came into my life
and I opened my heart
where you could be safe and sound.
How you ever got lost
Heaven only knows,
the longer you stay
the better I feel
and my love for you
will forever grow.
Will you stay with me my Angel,
will you stay with me my gift from above?,
if you do I promise you
a lifetime full of love.
Why Try?
Sitting here
in a packed room
feeling all alone
amongst a crowd.
my heart broken beyond repair
crying in pain out loud.
Looking for a way to carry on
but finding no reason to,
wondering how it came to this,
trying to figure out what I should do.
Should I give up,
or carry on?,
should I try something new?,
my heart is breaking
I feel so lost
someone please tell me
what should I do?
How do I begin?
where do I start?
how do you repair a broken heart?,
nothings differant,
no matter how hard I try
so I put my face into my hands
'cause all I want to do is cry.
A Chance To Dream
Waking up next to you,
the greatest feeling I've ever known,
the caress of your skin,
the beauty in your eye's
the greatest act of kindness
ever shown.
Was it just a fantasy
or a vision of what was yet to be?
what did I do,
for it to come to me?
Was the heart you gave me a loner
or was it mine to keep?
I don't want this feeling to end
so I'll just go back to sleep.
I hope that when I wake up
things are exactly what they seem,
where I wake up next to you,
and it wasn't just a dream.
My Escape
I used to wonder
what would I do without you,
I thought my life would
come to an end, but now things
are differant, now that my heart
has had a chance to mend.
I used to feel like a prisoner,
trapped in my own skin,
I'm not sure if it's possible
to escape and if so where
to begin.
I started by putting
one foot in front of the other
and walk on out the door,
I'm tired of all the lies and
cheating, I'm not going to
take it anymore.
You thought I'd never leave you,
and your property I'd always be,
now you're the one wondering
" What are you gonna do without me!"
Out Of The Ashes
Out Of The Ashes,
Rubble & debris
A memorial now stands
on what used to be.
With heavy hearts
and tears in our eye's
we vow to rebuild
in memory of those that died.
Though it's been ten years
many hearts have yet to be healed
we also honor the heroes we lost
in that open Pennsylvania field.
Another memorial is in the works
though donations are few
if everyone can give a little
this too we will see through.
Before you go to bed tonight
look up to the stars in Heaven
say a prayer and never forget
those we lost
on that clear cool day
on 9/11.
Ode To Our Forefathers
When this country was founded
they didn't know,
if it would work out or where
it would go.
Oh Forefathers
look at the mess we're in now!
Of, For , and By,
the people it was meant to be
but the rich took power
and forgot about you and me.
Oh Forefathers
Look at the mess we're in now.
Politicians have forgotten
there are people in need
so many parents out of jobs
with children to feed.
Oh Forefathers
look at the mess we're in now.
A man became president
from out of no-where
spending so much of our money
and trying to force us
on his ObamaCare.
Oh Forefathers
look at the mess we're in now.
Now I'm not the one
to gripe or complain
but enough's enough
it's time to get our country
back again.
Oh Forefathers
look at the mess we're in now.
Hopefully next year
he'll be out of a job
then he'll find out
what it's like
when the government robs.
Oh Forefathers
what a sight that'll be
he'll be unemployed
just like you and me.
Oh Forefathers
what a sight that'll be.
The Heroes Around Us
There are no heroes
thats what some people say,
but they answer the call
each and everyday.
They don't do it for the glory
or the wages they earn
they run into a burning building
while others run out,
'cause inside that building
a victim may be around the turn.
They risk their lives
when they get the call,
they are strangers to some,
but heroes to all.
They do their job with pride,
like they should ,
if they had to lay down their lives
to save another
they certainly would.
They dig through rubble
and debris,
when live's are in despair
they don't do it for glory
they do it because they care.
They do their job knowing
that with their lives
they may pay,
so yes there still are Heroes
around here today.
I Wrote A Letter
I wrote a letter
to the woman I loved
to tell here how I feel,
Although I don't say it enough
I want her to know
my love for her is real.
Why is it so hard to say,
what's really on your mind?,
why is it when you want
to say " I Love You!"
The words are so hard to find?
Maybe it's a roadblock,
set up to protect a broken Heart,
I wish I could go back in time
and stop the pain someone caused you,
before it had the chance to start.
If you're not ready to love again,
please take your time,
if falling in love with you were illegal,
then I've commited the ultimate crime.
A Message Lost
I heard a voice
calling in the breeze,
from across the ocean
and through the trees.
Where it came from
nobody knows,
but as each person hears it,
its message grows.
A voice from far away,
looking for a place
to settle down and stay.
Sometime ago
it would be lost,
and as a result
there was a cost.
A time of sorrow
and peace no more
lives lost
by something called war.
The voice is calling
once again,
hoping it's message
will soon begin
the message is simple
and easy to do,
say these three simple words
" I Love You!"
The Lady In The Harbor
A Lady stood alone in the harbor,
A teardrop ran down her eye,
America came under attack
still her torch she held up high.
Terrorists set forth an attack
on our nations heart,
though they succeeded is raising our fears
they failed to tear us apart.
Although it's been ten years
and our lives have carried on,
it's important to remember
the lives of those,
that in an instant would be gone.
Not only were there men and women
but there were children too,
in the blink of an eye , they were gone,
and there was nothing we could do.
Though it's o.k. to forget the horror
of that day, can we ever forgive?,
to find the answer just remember
the children that were lost that day,
and never had the chance to live.
As I look out in the harbor,
Lady Liberty's tears are now dry,
She stands ever vigilant and has vowed
" We Are Americans, We Will Never Die!"
