I will admit the ocean holds no grace More than an ounce against his face While mocking birds may taunt shrill Blushing my heart knows no other thrill Than to tease them for their vacant beak Has yet to feel his raspberry kisses sneak With feathers gripping through stormy air Not even experiencing his touch soft and fair The moon is jealous for his light shines bright While shadows cloak her in their starry night Crickets chirp musical sorrow down a quiet lake Shushing water mourns with every breath we take Evergreen leaves trail after footprints toward a path In which the forest echoes contain our lover’s laugh And Morning dawns on the pile in which we now lay Our beautiful anniversary marks this remarkable day My first kind of real love poem http://www.best-love-poems.com/poems.php?id=760223

I woke up in the morning I rushed into the day I had something to tell you But I didn't know what i want to say. I came so close to telling you But butterflies were my defeat So I'll hold off on this moment And let my heart just lead. You asked me how I'm doing I said that I was fine... I wanted to say it to you But you didn't have the time. Months gone by just like this The situation never changed Another month or two of this can drive a man insane. The time came when I was to tell you We were all alone that day I was gazing up at heaven In my heart did I silently pray. I told you that I loved you And for you that I did fall You looked at me and smiled You asked me if that was all. You told me that you loved me Ensuring that you felt the same And then you asked me to be with you The confusion felt like a game. Surprised at how you asked me Unsure of what to say But then you had to hold me And you kissed me in a perfect way. Confused at how it turned out It happened oh so fast as we make our future I pray this will last..... note: So perfect it's untouchable, So pure that it is bliss, With loving thoughts and feelings, With beauty in a gaze. I'll tell you of my secret confessions, Of all my lies and imperfections. I'll tell you of all the love to display, For the hungry soul has much to say. I'll start out with a simple question To begin my tale of confessions. Have you ever felt a love that grew You know you will never love anew? I can still make out the writing, that lies above your grave! In Loving Memory Of An Angel, and the blessings that she gave! We met so long ago, Since then you've been my one and only true Best Friend! I remember every second, Up until the very end! I remember I was driving, the roads were really wet that night! I wasn't going fast at all, But those lights were just too bright! I remember when I woke, Not knowing what to do! The very first thing that came to my mind, was not myself but you! You laid there just looking at me, as if it was your final glance! I grabbed your hand, looked to the sky, and said, Please One More Chance. I remember the day of the funeral, All of our family and friends! I remember when the preacher said, When one life ends, a new begins! Before they put you in this ground, I walked over to see you one last time! I kissed your lips and held your hand, and One More Chance went through my mind! I asked God Why not me, Why you, and what I did so wrong? He said everything has purpose, And that life must be lived on! So I live it on this very moment, Always remembering the day! That God sent me My Angel, And then took her away!

Looking back through the years, I can't believe how long We have been best friends, Through good times and bad. When I needed someone to cry, With me and laugh together Give me a shoulder to lean on, And a hug to make me feel better. You know how true it is, When you know that no matter what Happens or goes on down the road, That there will always be best friends. So as time passes and days go by, Just remember that when you need me That no matter what time or place, I will always be there by your side, my best friend.
