Long story short...
My son and daughter in law gave me their cat to take care of while she was pregnant since they were worried about the virus that comes from cat poop that can affect the unborn baby. That was almost 7 years ago. Now since my son and his wife are breaking up she wants her cat back. I have paid for 7 years all the costs for this cat. Vet bills, food and etc. Is it fair to me or the cat (who must consider this her home by now) to give her back? Or should I tell the soon to be X daughter in law to get herself a new pussy?
