The City, it is calling me forth like a siren, coaxing me with heartbeat of a pounding song. How could I resist her sitting on the horizon, a living, breathing beauty filled with wonder and excitement. Each road a part of the flowing sinews pushing life between frameworks of concrete bones jutting upward. Solemn grey surfaces littered with clusters of lighted windows spewing outward almost emulating the stars in the night sky. Even the blinking neon brilliance advertising hotels that won’t tell, hidden just off the beaten path. You only have to brave the seedy street shadows. As the air grows cold, steam rises from below paved surfaces. Bellows of cloud and mist breath through every sewer grate and manhole cover...
