Welcome, March, National Optimism Month! Optimism might feel like an elusive feeling, but having an optimistic attitude has a lot of great benefits, mentally, physically and emotionally. Each day is yours, you own it.

February, the month of love and renewal, has arrived with its gentle embrace. As the cold winter recedes, hearts begin to thaw, ready to be filled with warmth and affection. It is a time to celebrate love in all its forms, whether it be the love shared between partners, friends, or family.

December is the final month of the year. It brings beautiful winter snow, cheerful holiday vibes, and friends and families together. As Christmas draws near, I wish you all a Merry Christmas. May it be filled with love, laughter and God’s blessings. He is the reason for the season.

With November now behind us, the holidays, Hanukkah and Christmas will be here before you know it. This is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love. Finally a conspiracy that we can actually get behind. Welcome loved ones into your home and spreading a little cheer is all it takes.

Sending good wishes to you this Thanksgiving. Good food that fills your table, good health as you work hard, and good times with family and friends. May you have all the best delights in life, on this Thanksgiving Day and every day.

Happy 248th Birthday. The United States Marine Corp founded on November 10, 1775; and marks the beginning of the greatest fighting force the world has ever seen. What is a veteran - in the United States, a veteran is a person wo has served in the armed forces--including the Reserve and certain members of the United States National Guard and was honorably discharged. Women have served in the United States Military for over 200 years. Out of the nearly 3,500 Medal of Honor recipients Mary Edwards Walker (commonly referred to as Dr. Mary Walker), is the only woman to receive the Medal of Honor. Thank you, Dr. Mary Walker, for representing all women in the long list of Medal of Honor recipients.

273-mile walk around Jacksonville, North Carolina. “Walk to Remember”. For the fourth time, the Colorado resident is spending the first three weeks of October walking one mile for every name inscribed on the Jacksonville memorial to U.S. service members stationed near that North Carolina community who fell in Beirut and Grenada four decades ago. He said his mission is for as many people as possible to remember the fallen.

BEIRUT MEMORIAL / HONORING THE MEN / WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN LEBANON / 1982 - 1984 / MAY WE ALWAYS REMEMBER / THOSE WHO ARE READY / TO PROTECT OUR FREEDOM / Designed as a memorial wall, honors the memory of U.S. Marines who were killed on October 23, 1983 by a suicide truck bomber attack in Beirut, Lebanon. The design shows two broken white granite walls, symbolizing the destruction of buildings by the bomb. The two broken walls are separated by the statue of a soldier, dressed in full combat attire with his rifle ready. The wall to the left of the soldier is inscribed with the names of the fallen soldiers and other service personnel who have died as the result of the bombing. The wall also includes the names of three Marine pilots from the Camp Lejeune community who were killed in Grenada. The wall to the right of the soldier is inscribed with the words "They Came in Peace."
