  • Wendy Jane It is hot here now at 80 degrees f. I have been outside when it is cool to tend the garden and inside when it is too hot. We have had a heatwave and it is forecast to reach 40 deg. c on Monday in the south of England. We are in the middle so it is not quite as hot here. This is record breaking heat for us.

It is only June yet the Mountain Ash or Rowan tree is in berry. They have been on the tree for a week now and their presence is a portent to the end of Summer, It is going to be a very long Autumn then!

I see that nothing changes and I this year we waited for a new bathroom which didn't materialise so that is new for 2020. We only saw the front garden patio trauma as the back was done when we were away last year.

Waiting for Christmas to come and go, or more to the point the Winter Solstice to arrive and days to get longer again.

Christmas came and went, wet windy but not white. Days are getting longer and all is well in our world except the patio never got built so that trauma is to come !

Waiting for the return of winter and Christmas to go. The Solstice and new beginnings. Also hoping Storm Caroline's winds will soon drop

The last day of Autumn in England & it might as well be Winter. 32 deg f but wind chill down to 28 deg. At least the sun is shining and we have a holiday booked for Kerala in January. Hooray.
