When I was in the military, I served in the 82nd airborne div./ U.S. Army, I was a paratrooper. I was in only three years but it seemed like six. I did so many different things in there. I went through all my training and then got sent to the first Persian Gulf War. Being sent there was a turning point in my life. It brought out character that I didn't know that I had. Now I want to show my support to all U.S. Troops that are in Iraq and Afghanistan. When I was in the Persian Gulf, the country did it for me, now I want to return the favor. Currently I work in the profession of upholstery, I've been doing this for around 14 years now. I got into the field after I got out of the military, my father introduced it to me. Ya he is an upholsterer too, old school. I work exclusively on high end furniture. The clients hire interior designers, which in-turn, hire us to work on their projects. It's fun cause it challenges your mind, especially when the piece you work on is a channel back or diamond tufted chair, it's very rewarding when the piece is completely done. One of my dreams is to have my own interior workroom, possibly expanding into furniture design. The draw back to the upholstery field is that, you are pretty much by yourself and have little time or no possibility of socialising. Hopefully I can meet new and interesting friends here. Well, take care and God bless!! Hooah!!
