Today was a full day. I went to my first shoot at 9am. The body paint artist was late so we didn't start til about 10:20am. It took 3 hours to paint me, 5 mins to shoot, 30 mins to scrub the paint off at the studio (then another 10 min. shower when I got home to get the spots I missed), kissed my husband, pet the dogs, then to my second shoot at 4:30pm. Got home about 9pm and getting ready for my day job that starts tomorrow at 8:15-5pm, work out, then a photo contest I'm entered in in Fort Worth. Whew! 6 hours of sleep and I'm up and at 'em again! Dear Blog, Today was a lot of hurry up and wait. I left the house for make up and hair at 12:45pm and got to the airfield to shoot with Stiletto Studios just before 4pm to shoot for about 10 mins. with the B-24. I got every bit of curl blown out of my vintage do by the wind and backwash from the planes taking folks up for paid rides. I went back to the car discouraged at my reflection, and sat inside to warm up and put up my hair. My next wardrobe change was into a Womans Army Corps uniform. It was issued to Nora O'Conner on August 5th, 1943. Except for my bobby pins and skivies (as my grandma used to call them), I was entirely vintage in dress. Even my stockings and shoes. At about 6pm the planes came in for their final return for the evening just as the clouds broke. We had just caught the eye of the Dallas Love Field's Museum curator and he wanted shots of me with the planes as well, so it was a win/win for everyone. I got to stand on the airfield and wave to the pilots with my cape blowing in the wind as they came in for a landing and taxied. We shot for about 15 minutes with each aircraft. They were all very majestic and beautiful up close. That was the first time for me to hear those types of engines too! Once they warmed up and throttled they had a envigorating purr compaired to the shrillness of the commercial flights zooming over head. I'm really excited to see how the shots turned out! This was probably a once in a life time opportunity, and our patience paid off. Best wishes, Deejay

On Saturday day we will have open slots for people to book appointments and get painted with more elaborate designs if they want to do so. We will cap off the amount at $200 so people would not be charged more than $200. On Saturday night he will paint the QUICKIES again.

Well, this should prove to be a busy week! I'm scheduled to work over 45 hours and I have 2 shoots, and possibly a third. Tomorrow I'm hopefully giving a thumbs up to my first edited squirting video sale to a production company. I have to proof it first and make sure that I'm happy, and my co-star is happy with the finished product. Thursday evening I'm going to be shooting with one of my best friends and favorite photographers, Tim Gravens. We always push the creative envelope together. I offered to chaparone a shoot for one of my fellow chat hosts and she suggested we shoot some content together. I'm not sure what she has in mind yet, but I'm all for it!! ;) I'll be shooting a Valentine shoot with PBK Photography on Sunday morning. I can't wait. I love being in front of the camera. All that matters is what's happening right there and then. After shooting with photographers one time, I like to be moved to the top of their favorite lists. Wish me luck! Deejay
