I did my first "official" training walk today! Walked a little over a mile and while my left leg felt a little stiff, everything went very well. I wasn't winded at all, which means my cardio is still good and I just have to work on building up the muscles for distance.
I have to admit that it felt really good when I was done. I felt like I could have done much more but I don't want to push too hard and injure myself. I am just going to ease out of winter and try to do longer walks on the weekends when I have more time.
