Eleven years ago my ex wife brought home a dog that was in a no kill shelter for 18 months, he might have been around 3 years old at that time. He was not socialized as a pup so was not playful, and had the BAD HABIT of grawling and acting vicious towards men and barking his fool head off in a vicious way for someone to pet him. I really did not want another dog, since my dog of 16 yrs had just passed a way and she had another dog here she would not take care of. I seemed to be the one that had to care for them since my career was home based. Now comes my problem, when we got divorced she wanted me to keep him until she got settled, and could have him, that was about 6 years ago. I refused to let her have him, since he had serious security issues, having been in a no kill shelter for 18 months. he seemed happy here and I had worked with him to tame down his attitudes. She was going to her sisters where she could not have a dog and ten off to an apartment. Banjo would wind up in a crate for at least 11 hours EVERYDAY, and that is if she decided to come right home from work, and then back into the crate for the evening, so the most he would ever be out of the crate would be 5 hours a day. She wanted me to promise to call her if any happened to him. I have not seen or heard from her in the last 4 year. since she finally realized that I was not going to let her back in my life.
Banjo passed away last night, should I send her an email, a note in the mail or just say the hell with it !! I do not break promises ever, so I told her when she wanted me to promise her I would contact her I said "YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING" !!

Can you ease my conscience with your vote & comments or should I bite the bullit and risk contact with her~~~This mumm is not about points ! I really want your thoughs.
