If you live in Seymour, Greensburg, Batesville, Columbus, North Vernon, Madison, edinburgh, Taylorsville, Elizabethtown and every town in between and the surrounding areas. We want you.
If you have a desire to learn to skate for competition , fun WE WILL HELP YOU LEARN. or if you have basic skate skills and all you need is your skate feet back.
You can find Hellin Hazard at the Columbus Skate land on Saturdays 1-4 or
Sally Scissorhands will be there on Saturdays from 7-10. These are public skate times, if you don't have skates there is a fee. BUT you will get in the door for under $6.
Coaches- (Men or Women)
We need coaches, anyone with coaching skills or the willingness to learn about the competitive sport of Roller Derby. Does not need to know how to skate.
Rollergirls- (Women, Over 21)
We use quad speed skates for Roller Derby. You can have basic skate skills or want to learn how to skate. Learns the Skills and Rules of roller derby.
Refs- (Men or Women, 18+)
Uses Quad skates or Inlines (blades) Learns the rules and applies them during practice bouts, bouts and possibly reffing for other leagues when in need.
If you are a female and not quite 21 you can still be involved in Derby and work on your skating skills, then when you turn 21, you could qualify as a skater.
We accept people of all shapes, sizes. But you all will have one thing in common, you will come to love Derby, want to get fit, compete in public bouts, and have a great time doing it! SO come and skate with us we need you, we want you. AND.......I can see it in your eyes........ a spark of interest?
