| Ignorance seems to be running rampant. I answer the phone "hello" and the person on the other end says "lemme speak to _______" without even responding hello back or even acknowledging me, then if said person is unavailable, they hang up without saying "goodbye." Kids come to my house and if they are thirsty they ask "can I get a drink" without using their manners of saying please and thank you. I know many of these people who come here and their parents and know that they were taught manners and common courtesy. So make up my mind, are people just not using what they are taught and becoming more demanding or are their polite people lurking out there? |
