Yes it came from the depths
places people will not dare tread
People who hunt, who have no morals
but it crept up clawing through the ground upwards, nails clawed through he earth, the leaves
Finally light, the moon high in the sky
Now free in the land of men he creeps, looking
smelling things so different to decay
Flowers, plants, trees everything alive
leaves blow in a breeze, trickling of water in the distance
He stops, a wolf, big strong and red leaps over him and races off into the trees
The wolf has no fear, strong in heart, strong in itself
He follows knowing this could be his match
he is a hunter, he has to hunt
the smell of the wolf is in the air
easy to follow, he moves fast
the scent leads him to the water where he stops looking
He knows that the wolf has heard him follow,
that the wolf is leading him there
he gazes around, the moon on the water,
like a pool with a stream running off
a sheer rock raising up into the mountain
water cascading down shattering and breaking the surface
He moves to the edge standing there,
on the far bank stands the wolf, green clear eyes locked on his
fiery red hair of its mane sticking up moving slightly in the night air
testing the water is moves towards the hunter slowly, one step then another
turning towards the cascading water it turns its back
the hunter ready to make a kill, but unable to make a strike
instead watching, wondering why the wolf shows no fear
the wolf moves closer to the cascading water and lifts itself up onto its rear feet, then the change
now transforming into a beautiful woman
the hunters eyes wide watching
the lady the hair slowly deep and red absorbed into her skin, leaving just the mane of deep red on her head
shaking her hair, she steps into the waterfall
reaching up her perfect body is covered in rivulets of water
as she steps deeper into the water her head turns,
her face down keeping the shadow on her face
eyes closed she turns towards where the hunter stands motionless
her eyes open, her lips in a smile, deep green eyes look straight into his a look of mischief on her face.
She takes another step and is lost in the water
when he sees she does not appear he moves forward
his guard down now, just curiosity in his mind
he walks to the cascading water, stepping forwards
the water hits him washing off the earth, the leaves the stench of decay
moving into the water into a darker place
He should have been ready but the light of the moon is still in his eyes, so he steps forward
testing with his feet he walks through the cool water
stepping up on stone and finding he is in a damp cave
again he smells a scent, a scent of perfume of the wilderness
he stops letting his eyes adjust until the again he sees all around him
walking forward he sees the formation of rock, stalagmites and stalactites cover the roof and floor
crystals protruding from the walls lighting up the darkness with colours
amazed at the scene he walks forwards and rounds a corner to come face to face with the biggest wolf
she is waiting there for him, to catch him unawares
He is surprised, the wolf, its fur standing up showing her strength, the long red hair, she leaps straight at him
her teeth grasp his throat pushing him back
her weight knocking him down, defenseless under her
His eyes close waiting for the piercing pain of her teeth
but then there is a warmth on hi,, he opens his eyes and looks straight into the green eyes of the lady, her red hair falling down her face almost in shadows, the smile on her lips
she lowers her lips to his,
and they kiss
