So I stayed up SUPER late last night working on a Fairy Tale book for the younger boys. I am also making it for gifts for some other kids from my boys for Xmas. My friend Sylvie is going to get one too for her new grandchild when he/she is born (DUE CHRISTMAS! Had a blast shopping with Sylvie and Liah yesterday for baby stuff.. I LOVE babies)
I am personalizing the fairy tale books with the kids names on it and so far I am really pleased how they are turning out. I think it is going to be a really nice keep sake and lets face it, who doesn't LOVE a good fairy tale... specially when it is told the way it was orginally writen.. talk about your scary stories!! I found awesome illistrations that I feel are perfect for the good fairy tale stories... you know the ones that make you want to stare at the pictures and BE in them. Not those cartoonie like ones. I hate those. So I am excited. When it is done I am going to get the printed in 8'10 paperback books. I would love to have it hardcover but I think that would probably cost me a small fortune and well....... paperback will just have to do HAHAHA. My fav is The little Mermaid... hmmm big surprise. I really hope that the kids like it and that the parents do too since they will be the ones reading them. I love stuff like this. Makes me glad I have kiddies to make them for.
Speaking of Kiddies, Aidyn (son #2) had tubes put in his ears today, hopefully that will help with his hearing and ear infections. He did great. I am proud of him.
Still reading The Children of Men... it is getting better, almost half way done. I know I am slow with this one. I am intrigued with the whole old people commiting suicide part... never thought of what would happen if no children born anymore and if anything the book is making me think about the whole, what if mankind was dying off.... there are things I never thought about in the book that are making me think now. It is interesting, I just wish I liked the main character more but I think that might be one of the points... I dont' think I am suppose to like him. Maybe I will as the book progresses.
Well back to the fairy tale book! I can' t wait to hold it in my HANDS complete! I tried doing this last yr but thought of it too late and had problems so I ditched it. This yr I am READY!
