I did a little ditty yesterday on the infomercial dude and it perhaps opened a door to bashings on commercials in general. Those ads that just make you cringe; those ads that make you say paaaaalease… Is Paaalease a word? It doesn’t matter…however being subject to garbage while you are in your own home does. I could also go as far as saying how about sales calls on your cell phone? Oh my word when did that stage open up? I can’t count the times I cringe at getting a text message and knowing the fact that I can’t text back due to my current Nextel package that the text is a sales call and not from one of my lovely daughters that I just think, “Shoot If I could get a text back to them I (the sales group) I would with expletory comments…But I digress…
Back to Commercials and those that just tweak the melon so to speak. How about this, how about we take a poll on what are the two most useless, most dumb commercials ever made and see if we have a consensus on which two are the worst two commercials and I will announce them tomorrow. So Here are my choices for commercials that need to be taken off the air…My first thought was to get that goofy ass Verizon Dude Get him the hell off the air, but he can’t help it he looks like a nerd turd…I bet he will take that look over and over again while he bathes in his millions upon millions of dollars…so he is not my choice however this one is: VIAGRA commercials....
Apparently that pill does a LOT more than get it up...it also makes them smarter, more alert, superman-like even...gee.
As if all of a sudden some limp guy can get it up all his problems go away...errrr How about the dude walking through the office with a smile showing more teeth then the Donnie & Marie Osmond and everyone asks what’s up with Dave? Did he lose weight? Did he dye his hair…They’re supposed to guess he has more wood then Oregon Forrest…But I believe that is a Cialas commercial. So that is my first choice, we will call those commercials the Augmentation helpers…
Now for Number two: Is the Geico commercials… so easy a cave man can do it… well thank the maker that the cave man tv show was so easy to take off the air…staying with Geico and even though I like the lizard voice (aussy is a great accent) I can’t stand the fact that we are subject to listening and viewing an upright properly speaking Lizard giving us advise on Car Insurance as well as other little tidbits of advise the makers seem fit to throw on us.
So my two are Augmentation helpers of all sorts and Talking Gecko’s
