So far away from help
a feeling so helpless
an overcoming pain of sorrow
a jagged edge of caringness.
Unable to turn away from
a loved friend in demand
so hard to stand and watch
her walk through unknown land.
A hated sentiment know to well
a martyr for all friends
given all for my love
take my life before there's end.
A harmful duty of friendship
one that most disregard
well worth the agony's grief
no matter how much time and how hard.
A devotion of godly stakes
a risk of lost lucidity
an endangerment taken wholeheartedly
ask no one of their pity.
I wish I could hold her
and tell her everything's alright
but I'm stuck so far away
helpless to her in the lonely night.
