i did accomplish quite alot today.
since theres more deliveries coming on tuesday...i had to like...make some room for them amidst all the boxes n leftover unpacked clutter...but that worked out well...cuz i found a couple, three boxes that were empty...so yay.
i managed to tighten up my former dining room table...cuz ive decided to leave the leaves on it down...and put in the kids family room in the new house...n put the tv on it...that way Monkey cant go around changing the channel...spraying it with water bottles or any other toddler nonsense...plus that also means i wont need to purchase yet another piece of furniture.
sure ima furniture whore...but damn man.
got the new couch still in plastic awaiting the moving men...four new dining chairs...new dining table...the cabinet/shelf unit im going to use as an entertainment center in my new room...Meems bike she got for her birthday...moms 3 drawered cabinet/dresser-esque thing...all in my living room...PLUS moms n i went shopping...*laughs* and...did ya know its practically impossible to find a black bookcase thats not some piece of shit put it together yourself thing? ya...neither did i...
salespeople annoy me...'well we have this espresso brown color here...' uhm...is it black? no. did i just tell you my entire pre-purchased motif IS black? yes. if i stick dark brown up against black will it clash? oh yes...i believe it will. fuckers. everything in my room is black n red. well black furniture...red accents. like the pictures on my walls...and my hand painted chinese jewelry box and my hand painted chinese end table. brown doesnt match that fucktards so quit asking...im sorry you're desperate for a sale cuz you're a suckass salesperson...but like do your job better and you wont have a problem k? k.
so we wound up at the Home Store again with a superfantastic spanish woman...who instead of trying to shove shades of dark brown down my throat...actually *gasp* looked things up on the computer and in the catalog to see not only what they HAD in black...but what could also be ORDERED in black. *gasp* whatta effin concept eh?
so...theres no bookcases...so moms points out this 2 piece china cabinet...which would work perfectly as not only a bookcase but as a display case for those knick-knacks i dun ever want the kids touching under penalty of death...so we decide yup ok we'll take it...but no...its back-ordered...til July...and that wouldnt be a problem cept...we're moving next Friday...and uhm oh gee...they dun deliver up there...so *eye roll* back where we started...except *gasp* with stuperfantastic salesperson is all...'yannow...the cabinet your mom is getting in white is also available in black'...*gears grinding*...moms decides 'perfect'...and tadum...instead of a medium sized 2 piece china cabinet...i wound up with a large sized 2 piece china cabinet with double doors and 4 drawers and a shelving section inbetween the two doors...*gasp* ya...my moms rocks. most definitely. oh ya...we bought a matching double ottman with storage for the couch too.
sooooooo the only thing i need when we move up there...is some glossy black paint n some lacquer..and tadum. the end. *does a lil dance*
i bought The Alchemist...and Needful Things...at the same time. lol. yay for eclectic taste...in well...everything.
im going to have a smoke...*exhales in ang's direction* and watch The Breakfast Club for the bajillion and Nth time...cuz...well i can.
