If one thing is abundantly clear about people, it's that most feel the need to place a Label on themselves and/or other people. It's almost impossible to find someone who can just treat people as people without placing them in some category.
I've narrowed it down (In my mind) to two possible choices - Of course, I do have a few others, but we are only allowed two here.
I'm not sure which is more true - So perhaps you can help make up my mind. Which is the closest to the truth?
A) People need Labels as a way to make their life seem easier - Because then they can keep people in categories that make sense to them.
OR
B) People keep Labels as a way to separate themselves from others arbitrarily, to maintain an air of superiority. |
