It's been awhile since I did a blog entry...so here goes nothing.
Well in about 2 weeks, I'll be heading out West to the land of the Mormons.
And then a quick about face and then it's off to the land of taters (let's see how
good you kids are about States and what they're known for). Don't worry so, I grade
on a curve.
Anyways, the reason for my foray to the western part of this great country of ours?
Glad you asked. To pick up my Angel and make that fun drive back to the East Coast.
It should be interesting as I've never seen Nebraska, Wyoming and all those states.
I flew over them but that really doesn't count does it?
Am I nervous? No, Not about the drive. I'll have a GPS, My beautiful co-pilot (my gf) and
some $ so that should be ok.
What I'm realllllyyyyyy nervous about is meeting her family or La Familia. That should be interesting. Why? Again I'm glad you asked. Well, I have a kooky sense of humor which sometimes can be taken the wrong way. Conversely I'm also shy around new people so it's a meeting of weird humor/shyness. Like I said, it should be interesting. I was told that I needn't worry so. We'll see about that. :)
Well when in SLC , I'm going to swing by the APPLE Store and drool over the neato things there. Maybe get a brochure or 2, perhaps a Itunes card *$15 amount will suffice* and stare at the Ipod Touch and the Mac Books. Mmmmmm techy stuff.
Oh, and the new Star Wars movie is coming out that week, so me and Angel will be seeing that. The animation / CGI reminds me a lot of the clone wars cartoon. In any event it's a SW's movie so I'm kinda jazzed about that.
More importantly though, I'll be once again in the loving arms of the woman whom I love.
Whom I adore, who I dream about. And wanna know the best part of it all? She feels the same way about me ! Cool aye?
As silly as it sounds, it still boggles my mind that she loves me, even acknowledges my presance...but who am I to argue with her? :P
Did I mention that she's a INCREDIBLE kisser? And I get lost looking into her eyes?

Techy Stuff -
On both of my Dual Core pc's , I bumped up the amount of Memory to 3 gigs. I see a appreciable difference in the way Windows Vista works. And no, I never bashed Vista.
I like it a lot. There's somethings that are a bit different but I'm getting used to it.
Same thing with my MacMini. OSX is radically different from OS9 and Windows but I've grown to appreciate it. I'm not a Mac/Windows Fanboy...or a PS3/Xbox/Wii Fanboy, I like what I like. And I doooooooooo like techy stuff.
Talking about the Mini, it's amazing how for a pc , errr , Mac, that has 1 gig of memory in it..it flies. And it looks really , REALLY good on a 32 " monitor / LCD tv. :)
Techy stores - Bestbuy. Nice place...hate that they always have music blaring...especially RAP. Yuck. But it's fun to walk around and look at things. Excellent Dvd selection.
Circuit City - great place if you know what you want, meaning good luck getting anyone semi knowledgable to assist you. Again, decent DVD selection. And sometimes they run great specials in the store. For example I got a nice Pioneer cd player for the car, as the stock one bought the farm. It's nothing too fancy, plays MP3's, WMA files, and has a accessory port so i can connect a mp3 player to it. With installation, it cost a little under 80 dollars. Not too bad.
Microcenter - Now this is a place I can setup a cot at and just be happier than a pig in poopy. Over 20 different types of Mother boards, insanely low prices on Pc parts and the like...Hard Drives are incredibly cheap. Heck I saw a 4 gb Micro SDHC card there for like $20. Online they're way over that. Lot's and I do mean, of cool techy stuff, parts, gear , tools and magazines. Like I said, I can spend hours there walking around and I usually do! :)
One day soon , I'm going to go there and snag a 8 gig SDHC card. Can't beat the price
of only 26 dollars.
As for the new Iphone, yes, it looks neat. I never played around with a Iphone so I can't make a real judgement call (no pun intended). I have, however, tried out a Ipod Touch and that's pretty neat. I still like my BB Pearl , that being said, C'MON Rim , where the heck is the new O/S going to be out?
Talking about RIM - Reasearch in Motion - the new BB BOLD cell phone is pretty awesome from what I've read about it. Would I get one? One day. The Pearl works fine but like i said I want the new o/s so I can get HTML email.
I recently saw the DARK KNIGHT. Aptly named cause the movie was , to me , like it filmed with a 20 watt bulb at night. Maybe it's me but it was WAY TO DARK. I suppose they wanted to add some "mood " to the film but to me it was distracting. Plus what's with Christian Bales raspy Batman voice? His speaking (as batman) reminded me of the little old lady bailiff from Night Court. Hmmm Dark Night/ Night Court....justice in the dark? I digress.....
I thought the 1st batman movie was ok but I say this as a guy who's never been a real comic book fanatic.
I saw the 1 two spiderman movies, never saw the last one. Saw the 1 Fantastic 4 film ,never saw the 2nd. Saw the Xmen movies, they were ok. Saw the 1 hulk movie and wish I didn't.
Yea, I like Haunted Tank/G.I. Combat Stories or Sgt.Rock comic books as a kid but never got into the whole caped crusader /superhero thing. When I was growing up it was Star Wars/Star Trek / Dr. Who / Planet of the Apes and Space 1999.
As for Heath Ledger playing the "joker" , loved his portrayal. Especially all the quirky mannerism's. Well done Mr. Ledger...you'll be sorely missed.
