Members of the Hispanic Community are at higher risk of a Spina Bifida-affected pregnancy than any other group. On July 11, 2006, GRUMA, one of the world’s largest producers of corn flour and tortillas, announced its intent to enrich its corn products distributed in the U.S. with folic acid by the end of 2006.
