Mother
Thanks for all you do
and for being a Mother who is so humanly true.
Thanks for all you have done over the years.
For being there when your son was lost deep in my tears.
Even in my deepest times of need,
you were always there to help me proceed.
For you are my mother, the creator of me.
For without you, a me, there would never be.
You brought me in this world placed my feet on solid ground.
For this I give you the ultimate crown.
You are my Mother who cared for me,
in hell, where no one else even dared to be.
I could never thank you enough for being who you are.
With nothing but love in your precious heart.
When I needed you the most you would always be there.
Knowing what I had done and you didn’t even care.
I am the son you cared for so much.
And in you I know I could always trust.
My Mother will be here to see her son.
No matter what her son has done.
An unconditional love between a Mother and her son.
No matter what either one has ever done.
Between the two of us there are many things,
to the rest of the world will remain unseen.
I watched my Mother stabbed seven times.
With fear in my heart that I was the next in line.
My Father was the one who threaten us.
He stood so tall and always raising a fuss.
She seen me that day on the stairs.
And to my position she was well aware.
And still not a word did she say.
To give her son’s position away.
Frighten to death and disbelieving
of what my eyes were truly seeing.
Being held to the steps in some mystical way.
I could not move to help her on that bloody day.
I was seven or eight years old I do believe
and you have not seen half the things that I've seen.
My Mother is who I am talking about.
The only person I would never doubt.
I never heard a thing when she left the house.
She must have went out as quiet as a mouse.
My Father had left and I was all alone.
Still sitting on the steps as dead as a bone.
When I came around and I finally realized,
That my Mother has gone from the sight of my eyes.
I looked over there and then all around,
and all that I knew was she had to be found.
Ran out the back door with all of my might.
Finding her on her knees fighting for her life.
Bleeding so bad,
I could not believe what I was seeing.
Held her in my arms still not believing.
So I hollered out loud my neighbors name.
And out the door with a rush she came.
Next thing I heard were bells and sirens.
And all that I knew was my Mother was dying.
I felt it was going to be hard for me for allowing my Mother to die on her knees.
The ambulance came and took her away.
To the hospital as their sirens gave rave.
Thinking to myself as my mind began to wonder.
Did God cast upon us his mighty thunder?
By taking my only mother away and leaving me alone here to be a stray.
My Mother, yes my favorite girl.
Left here with seven children to fend off the world.
She is much, much stronger minded than are most.
As she pulled through all of this and from being a ghost.
My Mother, the strongest human on earth
and to me, she did give birth.
A hero to me is what she became.
And in my heart, my mother will forever remain.
