Taking a chance one day
My life changed in front of me
I never wondered what or why
Or what my life’s path would be
I knew it was something special
As I felt it deep in my heart
I welcomed you into my world
Even though we were apart
I remember the first words we spoke
The laugh we shared with each
Seeing a bond growing each day
Until this point we did reach
I gave of hat was special to me
As I willingly opened my heart
Letting you take what I kept guarded
Trusting you from the very start
Over time a loving bond has grown
One that keeps us together
Knowing that e will only be strong
When obstacles we must weather
My life will never be the same
Of this in my heart I know is true
Because of the day way back when
When I gave it completely to you
Once it was given away for love
There is no taking it back for me
You will have that part of my heart
You’re the one that set my love free
