So I have become addicted to blogging. I know I know who really is that interested in what a 37yr old mother of 5 boys has to say??? Well I don't think I am just ANY old mom, I first was born and called Deena before I was ever called MOM. And you know what she is still pretty much here, burried under the guise of MOM. But I am here with all the same dreams and wants I have had all my life. The things I want are simple things really, I want to write novels for a living FULL time, not part time.. that would mean giving up my day job as a hairstylist.. yes I create in hair too hehehe. I would love to adopt a daughter one day, one that needs a family. She doesn't have to be a baby, in fact I don't think I would want a baby. I have btdt 5 times and feel lucky I was able to experience that but I have a strong desire to adopt a little girl in need. Not for awhile though, I need my 4 youngests sons to GROW up a bit. Oh and convince my husband that adopting another child is a good idea HAHA.
I want to go to Tuscany with my boys. I have this image in my head of us walking down this grassy hill, me in a flowing white dress like Diane Lane wore in Under the Tuscan sun, and my boys dressed in white cotton button downs with tan cargo pants. The smaller boys are running ahead while my oldest walks beside me, my husband is behind us (also dressed the same as the boys HA) carrying our 2/3yr old adopted dd (also dressed in a white flowing dress) I see this image clear as day. It is going to happen! I know it!
I spent the night at friends last night, drank way too much wine and laughed alot. One thing I have learned in the last few yrs is that friends really are important to ones' sense of SELF. When I am with my friends I feel fun, alive and not all about diapher changings, laundry and what to make for dinner. Don't get me wrong, motherhood is a wonderful part of my life. It must be since I have done it 5 times, but it isn't the only part.
Writing has always been my passion. I love my characters that won't shut up. At least when I write about their lives the voices in my head can be explained without meds HAHA and a fear that I might be loosing my marbles. THey just want to be heard that is all, and I am just the tool they use to get their lives out.
Oh and I often make comments about Days of Ourlives... why?? Because I have deep issues about that show and how I have been watching it since I was 12yrs old... and since I can bitch about it while blogging I find I for some sick reason feel better!
So now I am blogging here and on Myspace... hmmm wonder how I will keep up with myself HAHA
But this is my official first blog on last cherry. And I haven't a clue yet how to use this site completely. But I will learn!
