Outside my home and across the street
There lies a mystery
Not often do I see him but I know he's there
Almond colored skin with short wavy hair
Smile so perfect, if perfection exists
Vener before have I felt like this
He leaves each day for a morning run
And I head out just as he returns
He nods and waves, the flashed that smile
I do the same, wishing he was mine all the while
the he heads back into his home
Afte a while his image in my mirror is gone
I return around 6 or so
As I park I see him pacing in front of his wondow
I enter my home and turn on the radio
Glance out the blinds to see that he is there no more
I pay it noattention as I pick up things from the floor
Then suddenly there is a knock at my door
I open it with no hesitation
Its my mystery, waiting looking very impatient
He says hello and that his name is Angelo
He has 2 tickets to a play and would like for me to go
I graciously accept then go to change my outfit
He says there is no need because what I have on is perfect
I grab my keys and coat and head outside
He walks me down the driveway and opens the passenger door to his ride
I hop in and we're off the to he show
cars and buildings whiz past as I stare out the window
I'm nervouse as hell, butterflies wont subside
He catches on and asks if I'm alright
I say yes then ask him about his career
He says he was in the military and has been out now for about a year
He says he's a P.E. teacher and personal trainer part time
He says he's drug free and has never convicted a crime
I tell I'm an event planner and public relations agent
that I was from Atlanta, he said he could tell by my accent
He made a joke and we laughed a while
The his eyes met mine and we share and awkward smile
we arrive at the show 10 minutes late
and we're not allowed to enter because they've locked the parking gates
So we head to the city to have dinner in the park
And after hours of talking we finally noticed is was extreemly dark
So we headed back to our neighborhood
Stopping for him to buy marshmellows and firewood
He invited me into his home for movies and s'mores
And after the day we'd shared I was wanting more
So in I went and picked out a movie to watch
We laughed at the flicka nd the fire crackled and popped
He looked at me with wanting glances
I tried my best to resist his advances
And when I could no longer resist, my mystery and Iexchanged our first kiss
I spent the night, he on the couch I in his bed
And I slept wonderfully with happy thoughts in my head
I awoke that morning to the smell of coffee and pancakes
Him in the kitchen, smile on his face
We established a lot that morning
Conversation intense not at all boring
He kissed me and I felt as if it were a fantasy
But the thing that was real, was that he was no longer a myster
I saw pictures of his past, places he's seen
He shared anicdotes and vivid memories
He opened his heart and I embraces his honesty
Today my boyfriend, yesterday just a mystery.
