Good Morning and hello there world. Ever have one of those incidents where your foot forgot which one was the brake and which was the gas pedal? Well me either, but this is not about you or me just the other guy…hmmm this should be an Insurance Companies slogan…Watch out for the other guy or the other guys other foot…
Now, Which One Is the Brake? Elderly drivers' recent lapses of concentration, stepping on the gas instead of the brake: An East Meadow, N.Y., man, 91, crashed into his wife (March). [WNYW-TV (New York), 3-7-07] A prominent biochemist from the 1940s, age 88, crashed through a wall of the Civic Center in San Rafael, Calif. (June). [San Francisco Chronicle, 6-15-07] An 84-year-old woman, playing golf with another woman, accidentally ran her down in her golf cart, Medford, Ore. (April). [Mail Tribune (Medford), 4-25-07] A Shiloh, Ill., woman, 84, drove into the cafeteria of Shiloh Elementary School, hitting one girl (January). [St. Louis Post-Dispatch-AP, 1-30-07] A Deland, Fla., woman, 84, driving to pick up a prescription, smashed into the pharmacy (November). [WKMG-TV (Orlando), 12-1-06] An Eastbourne, England, man, 80, crashed into the lobby of Eastbourne General Hospital, coming to visit his wife (June). [Daily Mail (London), 6-6-07] An Oshkosh, Wis., man, 77, smashed into a restaurant (with pedal work that was complicated by his cane, leaning against the driver's seat) (December). All of the above I think had to be common mistakes…exception being the dude running over his wife…
I have seen people run over golfers on the golf course before. Sometimes I think it’s just a mistake and other times…yeah should not of made fun of the dudes golf shot…or attempt there of. Well all in all mistakes will happen.
