Waking up in a cold sweat, looking around
Wondering if your still dreaming, sleepin sound
THen you realize its just a dream from before
The same one you've had, almost as many as you have opened the door
You look over at the one next to you
As they sleep so silently, almost like a baby new
You sit there silently, feeling the lust from the kill
Wishing you could take it back, maybe change everything, including your will
Instead your dreams are forever haunted by the screams
From the ones that you have hurt, the ones who ends had to begin with different means
Wishing everynight you could sleep safe and sound
Instead that night will never be found
Others say they want to help you and listen to all you have to say
WHen you start to tell them a little bit of what you have had to pay
They look at you and say that they need to go, but they will be back
We know and say to ourselves, no they wont, they are disgusted with what we lack
By the time we come to grips with our dreams and seem to take hold
Someone or something breaks that, sending your heart ice cold
In the end, we are but alone, surrounded by the ones we love
Knowing none of them will ever know what happens, except for the ones above
So we all still hold out that little bit of hope
That one day we will meet someone who knows what it takes to cope
Before we say goodbye to ones we love most dear
We need to somehow say goodbye to dreams in which we fear
