Pink Bundle of Skin
The new pink bundle of skin has arrived
It's journey to this world, it has just survived.
I look and I wonder at what will it become?
A school teacher, a criminal or just a plain 'Mum'?
To think that this little bundle of flesh is so small
Will once be quite big, grown up and very tall.
She's got his nose and she's got her eye's
I'm sure she'll be stunning, (that's no surprise).
But what is her future in this world of ours,
When countries are warring for more super-powers
When those that are poor are still in much need
When climates are changing and the genetic seed
To think she's inherited this planet of ours
Now deprived of many species of animals and flowers
What will become of this new pink bundle of joy?
Probably won't change the world, except by having a boy!
What shame it is that we teach our kids young
That we should abuse our habitat and help it, none.
To waste what we have is because we can't understand
That once it is gone this will become a vast waste land.
So, new pink little bundle of skin
You've just arrived here and so began livin'
But as to surviving, you've only just begun
Coz we stole your inheritance and along with it your fun!
