Sitting in the dark,
Waiting for the tears to stop,
As you are embedded into my memories,
I envision your beauty every time I close my eyes,
I can see your face smiling at me,
As I sit here dreaming of you with me,
Only to realize that’s all it is,
It’s only a dream.
I can’t imagine not being with you,
I can’t even think of being with another,
My stomach knots up inside,
Like the rapids of a wild river,

Beating slowly and heavily,
