So about 6 months ago, my site was closed down by the top dogs at Corporate, causing me to go look for another job. I wanted to stay where I was, but things weren't looking good - the high-tech jobs have mostly gone away, meaning I could stay if I was willing to work for about half what I was making. Then I got an offer to move back to the Portland, OR area. While the pay would be the same, the thought of going BACK to Portland was not good - I left there over 7 years ago because I was sick and tired of all the dreary, wet, gray days. Let me tell you I certainly wasn't looking forward to going back. So I've been back in the Portland area for right at 6 months and it's been wet, dreary, gray, etc...but not so much that I can't stand it.
