Samsara by Kuba
Open your eyes and see a fading sky
All pain is numb and you wonder why
Reflections of light from a fleeting world
Frozen in time as you begin to die.
The light from your eyes is stolen away
Never again will you feel the warmth of day
No more watching the fall of rain
No more life, all fades to gray.
Broken flesh becomes cold and still
Figures surround their valued kill
Robbed of life, you are torn apart
Fate fueled by greed, an evil will
“Return to earth, return to me”
Voices echo in a formless sea
Light swells and pain subsides
Taken away, “you now are free.”
See the depth of endless skies
Feel the power of divinity’s eyes
Touch the source of all that is life.
Hear the night broken by lupine cries.
So it begins with life anew
Chance once more to join the noble few
Those who fight for the lives that were lost.
Those who seek justice long overdue.
