In a workshop book that I am attending on Monday nights, it asks us to take a look at 5 lives we would have liked to have led.
I put (in no particular order) --
Singer
Piano Player
Writer
Private Investigator
Painter
Lawyer
lol... okay so that is 6. But, that isn't the point. The point is that the 2nd half of the question asks how you are going to achieve those dreams basically...and doing at least one thing this week to meet those dreams...
I have actually met some of my dreams in a way before.....
1. Singer - when I was in college, a guy had a microphone at home and let me sing on the mic; we had lots of fun entertaining friends and family back then.
2. Piano Player - growing up I took more than 15 years of piano lessons, accompanied the choir in Middle School, accompanied the Church Choir in High School. But, I do miss not having a piano around in more than 20 years to practice and play upon. One day... I hope to be able to have my own house and put a piano in one of the rooms...
3. Writer - I have written many short stories that have been posted on a certain website because of its nature. I have a book that I have been trying to write though that is something to understand why a DV victim might stay in the situation they are in. The synchronicity of it all is that there is a 50,000 word challenge in writers in November. Perhaps that will give me the push to get that book done after all.
4. Private Investigator - I have actually done many of these type of things through being a paralegal and working as a diligent searcher for CASA...as well as geneaology research I end up feeling that I have some degree of private investigator in me. Perhaps I should be secretly being someone like Angela Lansbury was in Murder She Wrote??? :)
5. Painter - I have taken acrylic and oil painting lessons while growing up. I used to enjoy doing that. Perhaps, I'll have to find something to paint this fall. :D
6. Lawyer - Well, probably the closest I will come to this is via being a paralegal; but the dream is still there if I am not too old by the time I decide to "just do it"! lol...
