Well, I've been up for hours! Oh, happy day!!
Taylor aka Mono man decided that he needed to feel my presence in his weakened state last night. To those of you without children of any age, yeah, big strapping teenage males can be reduced to 3 year olds by illness of any kind! And sometimes they need to tuck in next to Mom at night! Sounds Oedipal, I know, but it's not! If the stupid doctor hadn't announced that if he couldn't swallow, take him to the ER because his breathing would go next, I wouldn't be blogging this stellar episode in my life.
Back to no sleep! Taylor's tonsils are so swollen, along with every lymph node in his body, I think, that he snored like a very loud chainsaw all night long. Shall I mention the sleep apnea - that lovely "hold the breath" thing - that occurred, too?! Moaning and groaning! I am a light sleeper at the best of times - comes from being a Mom, I think! It was the longest night I've experienced in quite a while.
My goal will be to get him back to his own bed and his own bedroom tonight. Don't know if I can handle another night with "mono man"!! Wish me luck!
Have a great day, everyone! Stay safe! Blessings all around.
PS: I promise, this is the last of the illness blogs!!
