There are stories we write on our page
that tell much of our life at each age
Some stories we never want to end
like saying goodbye to a dear friend
!
Falling down that train of thought
forgetting all the trouble I bought
still wanting just to hold her hand
remembering all the dreams we planned
~
Hurting from self inflicted wounds
unable to forgive myself on grounds
unwilling to forget special feelings
yet trapped by reality's ceilings
~
Let this be the end of my madness
Let me overcome this deep sadness
Remember there was love that was shared
remember that it was an us that cared
~
For in the last chapter, the story must end
the final page turned for life to again begin
a treasured book lovingly filed away
yet though I know there's more to say
