storm that is you

storm that is you
I love her,
no not her,
but that part of her which draws out
the best qualities in myself.
I like her smile, because it helps me to be caring.
I forget about myself when I see her smile,
at that moment all I care about is her happiness.
For once I only care about another and not myself.
I like her sharp wit and keen intellect,
because it helps me to see her as a person,
instead of seeing her as a possession.
I forget to want her, when we speak,
at that moment all I care about is ideas and thoughts.
Her ideas and Her thoughts.
I can not have her forever
but I can borrow part of her for a short while,
to prove to myself that I am more than what I believe
Me to be.
storm that is you
Clouds of your kisses build in the spirit charged sky
Wind carries your scent to me
Your words rain down on me in the darkness of your absence
I’m lost in a storm that is you.
‘Lightening strike’ touches in a flash of your skin
Your tempest thrown hair
The thunder of elation in your hips
I’m lost in a storm that is you.
There are clear skies of faith in the trust of your soul
Calm eddies in the depths of your body
Your voice quiet in my eager ear
I’m lost in a storm that is you.
storm that is you
I’m lost in a storm that’s you
While clouds of your kisses build
For there, my heart knows what’s true
The wind carries your scent through
As your words rained my soul filled
I’m lost in a storm that’s you
No dark or gray in my world brew
Though when you shine I am killed
For there, my heart knows what’s true
Lightening touches all that’s new
When thunder of elation trilled
I’m lost in a storm that’s you
Calm eddies curl past us two
And float on dreams as if willed
For there, my heart knows what’s true
As your voice in my ear grew
My night finds me freshly stilled
I’m lost in a storm that’s you
For there, my heart knows what’s true
storm that is you
The beat of our rhythms echo at night
Dim glows caress our eyes to fill our dreams
The click of keys draw out our inner light
To taste our love is chief within our themes
Our touch not real as miles keep us not there
The grasps and gasps are tools in our rich notes
Our words cover us with warmth as we share
The ends of our firm lines gush out in quotes
Revel in tense, in verb forms we do play
Our minds can build a world in which we rule
Our verse not bound by what we must just say
But real would be our touch our gloss our pool
Our intension we must define and build
For without this or lives are less fulfilled
storm that is you
