I knew you guys were dying for YET MORE survey answers from me. (Hey, I've got four more of these sitting around waiting for me to answer. You think I'm not serious? :)
1. The phone rings. Who do you want it to be?
I hate it when the phone rings. Seriously. I hate talking on the phone. But I'm usually OK if it's my sister. Or Greg (my ex-husband) 'cuz I made his ringtone "White and Nerdy" and didn't tell him, and it amuses me.
2. When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
I return it to the cart holder thingey. Unless the store is closer, in which case I will return it to the store. I'm nominally a rule-follower, albeit a lazy one.
3. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener?
It really depends on the social setting, and the people involved. I can be a bit of a chatterer, I know, but I also try really hard to be a good listener when someone needs me to be.
4. Do you take compliments well?
Hmm... it really depends on what they're complimenting. When someone compliments my musical ability, intelligence, or personality, I take it well. I pretty much still think people are insane and/or so horny they don't care, when they compliment my looks.
5. Do you play Sudoku?
I went through a phase. I'm out of it now. I started to have dreams about little numbers.
Now it's Tetris on my phone.
6. If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive?
Almost assuredly not. :)
7. Do you like to ride horses?
The only two times I have, I had asthma attacks 'cuz it turns out I'm allergic.
8. Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
I went to a "camp for gifted children" at age 11 (where I learned to masturbate... I was gifted!). Thanks for that, Mom and Dad. It was basically *Summer School*.
Then, at 12, to music camp in the Colorado Rockies. Great setting, too young for it. I checked out a lot of adult books from the Estes Park public library, though! That's when I learned about oral sex, from that "dwarf forces the drugged girl" scene in that book. Yup, I still remember it. Maybe I shouldn't have read such adult books so early. Or maybe my parents should have had some kind of Talk with me.
Then 13-17 I went to fine arts camp in Michigan, where I typically had a very good time. And nothing whatsoever sexual happened.

10. If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew he/she was married would you still go after them?
Wait, who's pursuing who? Anyway, of course fuckin' hell no! I stay away from married guys. Don't want to get into that whole mess. My theory on marriage is that you're faithful or you're an asshole. There's really not a whole lot of middle ground. Fix it or get the hell out of the relationship. And yes, I know what it's like to live in a marriage where you don't have sex. And my libido is pretty intense. Keep it the fuck in your pants, dickheads.
Note: This rant does not apply to people that somehow manage to have a polyamorous or open relationship. I'm still staying away from that, but I won't think you're an asshole for pursuing me. :)
11. Are you judgmental?
I want to say I'm not, but of course I am, in some ways. There are a lot of things I'm not judgemental about, but I do have a few things that really tick me off. See above rant.
12. Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?
Hmm. I'm not sure. It really depends on the degree of those religious beliefs, how much it permeated their lives, and whether they could take the fact that I was never going to believe the same thing.
Note: I'm agnostic at best, atheist at worst, depending on your definition.
13. Do you like to pursue or be pursued?
Hm. I tend to be a bit passive, so I prefer being pursued, but that's only at the beginning. I DO go after what I want.

Blind, but I'm already halfway there. I don't think I could live without music and voices, though.

Never even touched one. Never even seen one unholstered except on TV.
I keep thinking, however, that I really need to learn to fire one. 'cuz someday the dead will rise and I'll have to kill zombies, and right now I'd have no shot. Although I'm better prepared than most because I have obviously already determined the weak points in my house.

My cats. Then my purse.

Constantly. Every day.

A long time. I am a complete and absolute water hog. I don't know how people shower in less than 20 minutes.

My mom was the school nerd. Seriously. Like mother, like daughter, I guess. She was really an outcast in a small Minnesota town.

I've never seen it. I do watch Rock Star:Supernova, though. I was rooting for Phil (who can stop by and do me anytime... oh, wait did I say that out loud?). I thought Ryan grew the most as an artist (oh, and yeah, god, those eyes. Ryan, baby, you could get anyone you wanted with those eyes). And I liked Storm for her consistency. And, oh, yeah, she was hot, too. Also, Patrice, who was the more the kind of artist that I listen to.
47. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
Depends on how stupidly late I stay up. Usually not enough. I really do need a solid eight.
48. Do you like care bears?
God no. One of the many ways in which I am not very girlie at all.

Usually water or Sprite and popcorn with butter.

Yup. I'm surprisingly good at it 'cuz none of my friends ever think I can bluff.

Always. It's a total habit to put it on. I noticed once that I'd gotten distracted and not put it on. And that's in (god, I'm so old) many years of driving.

Um, nothing? How do people survive wearing clothes to bed? I HATE wearing pj's. Whenever I'm visiting someone, or someone's visiting me, and I have to wear pj's, I toss and turn all night. It's so... binding.
53. Anything big ever happen in your hometown?
They filmed part of While You Were Sleeping there. And the Knight Rider/Baywatch guy went to my high school.
54. How many meals do you eat a day?
Two, maybe three. I eat lunch, dinner, and "oh god, I'm hungry again at midnight" :)
55. Is your tongue pierced?
No, and it never ever will be. I'm sorry, but tongue piercings wig me out. Except when there's oral sex involved. On me. Then I'm all thumbs-up.
56. Do you always read CT bulletins?
I read very few bulletins. I tend to ignore any bulletins that pimp people, ask for votes, or whine. Also, I will ignore any bulletins that threaten to remove me as a friend if I don't read them. If I have to read your bulletin to remain your friend, I don't really want to be your friend.
That said, I try really really hard to keep up with people's blogs.
58. Do you like funny or serious people better?
Funny. Well, I'm a combination of both. I definitely need serious in my life, too.
59. Ever been to LA?
Yup. Dingy place. I hated it.
60. Did you eat a cookie today?
Nope. I don't eat cookies very often. I did *guilty look* have banana cream pie from Max & Erma's. But their banana cream pie rocks. Seriously. And I only get there every couple months.

62. Do you steal or pay for your music downloads?
Pay, unless I can't find it through iTunes. I firmly believe in paying for my music if at all possible.

64. What do you and your parents fight about the most?
With my mom, I always fought about going my own way in life. My mom raised me to make up my own mind, make my own decisions, do what makes me happy, but she had trouble accepting that sometimes those decisions took me away from the path she had hoped I would take.
With my dad, as long as I avoid politics or religion, I'm fine. :)
65. Is your cell usually on vibrate or ring?
I have it on both. My general ringtone is Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," btw. My family gets the Addams Family theme, and my favorite geeks get "White and Nerdy." My voicemail ringtone is the Muppets theme song.
66. Are you a gullible person?
Yup. Well, somewhat. I'm smart but tend to want to think the best of people.
67. Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy?
No. But that doesn't mean I don't get lonely. I think I function better while in a relationship. That said, I'm also extraordinarily picky about who I get involved with, and prefer to be single than in a bad relationship.
68. If you could have any job (assuming you have the skills) what would it be?
Someone would pay me to read. :)
69. Are you easy to get along with?
I think so? Most people only want the surface me anyway. And generally I'm non-judgemental and easy to get along with. But I'm really not as easy-going as most people want to believe I am. I'm complicated.
