A woman's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several
weeks, yet she stayed by his bedside every day.
One day, when he came to, he motioned her near to his side. She sat
by him as he whispered, eyes full of tears, "You've been with me through all
the bad times. When I was fired, you were with me. When my business
failed, you were with me.
When I was shot, you were by my side and when we lost the house you
stayed right here. Then, when my health started failing, you were still by
my side. You know what?"
"What dear?" she asked gently, smiling as her heart began to fill
with warmth. He replied, "I think you're bad luck."
