Yes, I'm in Oklahoma, and being a displaced Yankee, I, too, lol, thought country music was a bunch of cry in my beer, my wife took off with my truck and my dog kind of songs, but then somehow I started going to a few western clubs, learned slightly lol how to two-step (never had a good partner) and had a blast learning line dancing, especially with a few drinks under my belt. Besides country, they played rock generally as well. Yes, I even got myself a part time job at Drysdales Western Wear. lol Heck, employees got 40% off on personal clothes. Woo hoo.
I remember so well ions ago, man it was ions ago before I ever even got married and all I had dated this guy in my home town in New York who ended up going to hmm some other state in the winter and worked on the railroad. He came back and wanted to take me to this new country bar that just opened. I was like ... are you crazy? lol I was a good girl and agreed to go. Oh my gosh, I was there for maybe five or ten minutes and I wanted to leave. lol It was not in the least where I wanted to be. Who would have known I really do enjoy it now. lol
Anyway, I hadn't listened to country music on my car radio in quite a while, but was flipping stations en route to the jail actually looking for a country station, and this song came on and it was definitely the right song at the right time. Well, not sure right for what but it surely had my feelings down pat because my emotions were going haywire and all I wanted was to do was do what this song said and it was so fitting:
Clay Walker - "Fall"
Oh look there you go again
Puttin on that smile again
Even though I know you've had a bad day
Doin this doin that
Always puttin yourself last
A whole lotta give and not enuff take
But you can only be strong so long before you break
So..
Chorus:
Fall
Go on and fall apart
Fall into these arms of mine
I'll catch you everytime you
Fall
Go on and lose it all
Every doubt every fear
Every worry every tear
I'm right here
Baby fall
Forget about the world tonight
All thats wrong and all thats right
Lay your head on my shoulder let it fade away
And if you wanna let go baby it's okay
Chorus:
Fall
Go on and fall apart
Fall into these arms of mine
I'll catch you everytime you
Fall
Go on and lose it all
Every doubt every fear
Every worry every tear
I'm right here
Baby fall
Hold on
Hold on
Hold on
To me
Chorus:
Fall
Go on and fall apart
Fall into these arms of mine
I'll catch you everytime you
Fall
Go on and lose it all
Every doubt every fear
Every worry every tear
I'm right here
Baby fall
