EJ got me thinking tonight. I was sitting here playing my flute and thought of how it sounded...anyway, I digress - here's some things I believe, from my heart, just so people know me.
I think the sound of a flute is like the voice of a kind and caring woman. Miles Davis said that of a muted trumpet. I think he's right also.
I believe that baseball is such a pure and engulfing sport that only a bunch of money hungry primadonnas like the major leaguers could ruin it for everyone. And they have.
I think Halfnakedjohn is the coolest guy on fuber. My hat's off to you, buddy! If not my shirt.
I believe there's something associated with the X chromosome that gives one manipulative powers.
You don't give a child a car. You wait until he is a teen and can not only handle it, but can appreciate it, worship it, and even put it to good use. From that point on it is used to drive him everywhere, seduce women, and free his spirit. That's what the gods did for us in the 50's when they gave us rock and roll. "Here you go humans. You're ready for it now. Let's see what you can do."
I believe you can only be happy when you look at the uniqueness of a human being and appreciate them for that, rather than their conformity. Ladies - no man with a brain wants a Barbie doll, or someone who kills themselves trying to be one. Imperfections are the things that define beauty.
I think a town should be required BY LAW to have an ice cream truck. Maybe one for every 10 square blocks. It should be considered as necessary as any utility, only self supporting. I've never seen an unhappy kid, or parent with an ice cream cone in their hand. I've never heard of a violent crime committed by someone carrying a popsicle. It’s just real hard if not impossible to stand in line at an ice cream truck and have bigoted opinions about the others in line – no matter who accidently bumped your elbow, it’s cool! They’re just there there to get ice cream.
