you wake up get something to eat
they may still be awake...for a few days
you take a warm shower, takin it for granted
they forgot what a shower feels like
you hug you kids and parents
they look at a worn picture missin their families
each day you have freedom to do what you want
each day they are fightin for that freedome
so when you see a militry man or woman
stop being selfish
take a minute
let them know they are respected
remind them they are loved
and thought of daily
after all
they are the ones keeping you safe
