One of the reasons I got onto LC was to find other writers. Most of the other web sites out there are great for getting exposure, but terrible for just meeting writers. Others are good for getting criticism, but after reading some of their work I'd wonder if they were following their own advice.
So, here I am at LC, having a pretty good time ... but slightly distressed as the 'core interests' does not contain writing. Why not? This would include authors, bloggers, poets, tech writers - anyone who writes for a living, or wants to write for a living, or simply, habitually writes.
I've been browsing about and have found TWO writers so far. Two. Either LC is lacking in this department, or there's a lot of closet word-geeks out there, or (most likely) it's just damn hard to find them. I mean, I have to look at their profile and see if they actually call themselves a 'writer', or something in that vein.
Guess I'll keep looking. C'mon LC, scribes need love, too.
