Okay, so in a divorce situation with children, are you suppose to be the one calling to talk to your kids as often as you can((if you are the non custodial parent)) or if your kids ((or so you claim)) do not wish to talk to you, do you wait for them to call you instead of you trying to stay in contact with them?
I am the custodial parent in this situation and the father and his new wife((MJ: she wrote a mumm about this a few days ago)) seem to think that it is the kids responsibility to call them when they feel like talking to their father. These two kids are just four and two years old and the last time they talked to their father was on Memorial Day weekend((Sunday)). Their father use to call once per week. But I thought that if he called more than once a week, maybe the kids would have a little interest in their father but at this point, this is not the case.
I truly do believe that it is the father's responsibilty to call as often as he can and not the children's responsibility. So what do you say? |
