WHY DIDN'T I TELL YOU

Just this morning I thought of you--
I heard your voice over the phone --
I think it was just a few days ago
Behold the next thing I knew --
Heard the bad news
Why didnt I share with you the Gospel News,
His death on the Cross, Of his shed blood loss
Forgiveness of Sin, Life renew
He paid the cost ,That your soul wouldn't be lost
Why didnt I tell you -- I loved you
for It was the christian thing to do
"Gonna get it right" you'd often would say
never dream that your soul would be gone by today
Why didnt I tell you -- Of Christ
Why didnt I kneel with you and pray
Why didnt I reason with you -- If it took all night and all day
Why didnt I make sure you -- except Christ by faith
Impossible now -- your outta sight
It's too late, Your soul has departed from this life
Didnt seem the time was ever right
Now my heart skips a beat
My knees tremble with fright
Left me broken hearted
So quickly departed
But, what gets me the most--
Why didnt I tell you about the Holy Ghost
Why didnt I tell you of Christ blood
One moment is all it would have took
You were a wonderful person
Easy to learn and understand
you looked up to me,
So why didnt I pray with you hand and hand
Didnt matter you weren't close too home
why didnt I share of Christ's Salvation with thee
You could have given your soul too christ --
Right over the phone --
So now I feel sorrow down to my bones
I've asked others that was near to you
Was He Saved -- Was his life Renewed?
With tears in eyes-- and with a sad sigh
with heads hung low --they weren't even sure
Now I don't know what too do -- feeling blue
Why didnt I tell you -- for It was the christian thing too do
I hope and pray knowing Christ as I do--
That he sought after you --
That your names written in the
lambs book of life too
But, of sharing the Gospel News!--
to those that are dear
To those of whom you were cool
and to every stranger that you knew
He left that all up to me & you!!
Why why why didnt I tell you --
After all, it was the christian thing to do
