Not Alone
Strong graceful wolf
Lone howl in the night
A chilly wind; the crunch of my feet
Blood rising to my face
Frozen and lonely; desolate.
Tracy Durnell
Straight Through our Hearts
Miles in the sky it seems
The lone wolf looks over his world
encompassed by darkness
Lit only by the cresent moon
One would wonder what passes
Through his mind
Only he knows
Would it be a game of deception
Or could it possibly be
Only looking for prey
Could it be that he is sad for us
When he sees what we are doing
To ourselves and his own
Maybe
What makes his passioned cries
Pierce our very souls
Is it mearly to attract others or
Do we feel the pain of knowing
With every wolf cry
Because of us
Many things die
