A poem I wrote...
"WORDS"
Words can be kind, loving, sweet, gentle...
they can also hurt, abuse, and defamate.
Sometimes when we use them...
they come out wrong to the ones
we care about most in life.
We focus on them way too much,
thinking with our minds and not our hearts.
The can be blurred out wi no thought,
or thought about and spoken so gently.
Either way... how or what we say with
using them is what matters most.
We are taught at a young age to say words like
"no", "please", "more", "now"...
When we look at those words today...
they seem so harsh when used together.
What words can do to someone, on can only tell.
It is up to us how we use them to share our story.
We can't avoid using words in daily life,
Whether we use them spoken, on paper,
or with sign language.
Our daily words make or break us,
The are dictators in our world.
So, the next time you speak,
Or be spoken to... don't be analytical
or critical ... use some understanding
of what the words mean that are spoken.
