I have met some wonderful people,
i have even become close to some,
and made enemies out of other's.
I have gained some and lost some,
but i have moved on.
I have made some new friends and i am
happy for that.
I know that nothing lasts forever,
but it breaks my heart when i have
to say goodbye to a good friend.
but i know that true friends never
go away for very long, they always
come back and we must hang on
tight because they dont come around
very often.
So like a balloon i will hang on tight
to you my friend.
I will keep you close in my heart,
so that way if we ever have to say
goodbye you will never be
that far away just a heart beat away.
But i hope that we never have to
say goodbye that would really
tear me apart.
You lose some, you gain some and that
is all a part of life.
I pray that i never lose you as a friend.
I will be here for you through good times
bad times, laughter and tears,
sunshine or rain.
I will be the unbrella that keeps you
dry and the hand that will wipe
away the tears, i will be the ear that
listens and understands.
I will always have open arms for you
my friend.
